It’s nice to have a birthday on Saturday. The kids will be home and have nothing to do, but wait on me and clean their rooms, yeah right! I don’t have any special plans today. I should go shopping as I haven’t done any of that as of yet. However shopping today in St. Louis will be a nightmare. So I will probably stay by the fire, watch a few movies, and start drinking early. I think a Bloody Mary is in order, don’t you? Apparently Disney World is throwing a party in my honor, so maybe I’ll catch a flight down to Orlando, you never know. Check out the movie below.

Russian Scholar Predicts Breakup of U.S.Posted by Amazingbrian in America, Lunacy, Politics, tags: alaska, America, breakup, Obama, russia
Igor Panarin, a professor at the diplomatic academy of Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told the newspaper Izvestia on Monday that America will break apart into six regions following the crisis. “Dissatisfaction is growing, and it is only being held back at the moment by the elections, and the hope that Obama can work miracles, but when spring comes, it will be clear that there are no miracles.” Panarin predicts the U.S. will split into: the Pacific, the South, Texas, the Atlantic coast, the central states and the northern states, and hinted that Alaska could be Russia’s for the taking. Actually, the thought of California succeeding from the Union has never bothered me, it’s like a foreign country anyway. I think Sarah Palin would have other thoughts regarding Alaska and I’ll bet she’s got the weapons to back it up. America is quite divided today and when the system breaks down, almost anything can happen. However, I view this story as typical, old Soviet Union style, hateful, envious, wishful thinking. Still, it is up to the American people to make sure something like this never happens. Complacency to the breakdown of traditional American moral values is not the answer. Clearly, the Russians are delighted by the current chaos in America, and to celebrate, they are off to play Battleship with Hugo Chavez, but that’s another story.

Obama Prepared to Take Power and Begin to "Rule" Day 1Posted by Amazingbrian in America, Lunacy, Obama, PoliticsHere is Valerie Jarrett, Co-Chair of the Obama-Biden Transition Team, commenting about the Obama transition on Meet the Press. The sync on the sound isn’t right so don’t look at her lips.
Since when do Presidents “Rule?” Do we, as American Citizens refer to our President as a “Ruler?” Perhaps it’s just a sign of the times.
Once again, here we are on the day that America honors its veterans. Each year, I feel this day is increasingly important, for so many modern day Americans have no idea the cost of the lifestyle they lead, and the freedoms they so enjoy. One of my favorite expressions regarding Veterans Day is this…
God bless America, and all her Veterans. Make sure you find one today and thank him or her for their service. And now for your entertainment and enlightenment, I offer you this fantastic speech given by General Douglas MacArthur for his farewell address to Congress, April 19th, 1951. The speech itself is nearly 38 minutes long with the best of it in the last 15 minutes or so, but I encourage you to listen to the whole thing. Douglas MacArthur Farewell to Congress Also, here is another one of my favorites although less authentic, Mel Gibson as Lieutenant Colonel Hal Moore in the movie, We Were Soldiers. It’s considerably shorter. Happy Veterans Day! |
