Better late than never, we put up the Christmas tree Satuday. Of course, we had to rearrange a room (the living room, which recently has become my office) to actually accomplish it.

This is what I love about shooting without a flash. Look at that tree! This is a relatively long exposure (1/60th) so the lights really shine, a flash exposure wouldn’t show the lights at all!

The kids did all the decorating of the tree once we actually got it put together and the lights all working. The were moving so fast I had to tell them to take a break so I could get my act together to take pictures. I had just dismantled and move my desk.

Here, Bonnie is holding our very special Corgi Angel that tops the tree.

Well, things are really rolling here at the Amazing household. It’s non-stop Amazing around here. In addition to it being Marcia’s Birthday, Sarah’s school choir had a performance at Frontenac Plaza, which was fantastic, as usual.

Old Bonhomme School is really lucky to have such a great music teacher. Mr Hearn is a really talented music professional and a great teacher. He has grown on me over the many years and performances I have attended under his direction.

Here is a shot from Sarah’s latest 15 seconds of fame. She doesn’t look at all comfortable with that microphone does she?

This is what I love about having a camera in my hand ready to shoot. Take a look at this individual sneaking into the mall.

Later in the afternoon Bonnie had a basketball game. This has been a real learning experience for Bonnie, the transition from superstar to bench warmer, it can be humbling.

She’s adjusting. It’s a big deal to be a freshman to be on the junior varsity basketball team, but you don’t get to actually play much. She did get to play in this game and for a record amount of time, maybe 5 minutes. Too bad the score was already 14-41, visitor.

Here is a shot of Bonnie showing one of her many Amazing skills, levitation. Nobody can catch her, she flies!

She moves like a hovercraft.

I have been hooked on the Laura Ingram show for a couple weeks now. I find her funny, charming, educated, and well spoken.

She is on the air here in St. Louis, weekdays at 9:00-11:00 am, on 97.1 FM.

Laura’s website Bio is impressive and the Wikipedia entry on her is even more interesting.

What I like most about Laura Ingraham, is her unbelievable natural whit, combined with her educated and cynical point of view. I think she has a acute and entertaining perspective of current events and politics. Her show combines the perfect mix of humor combined with substance of content.

Laura Ingraham also demonstrates an amazing intuitiveness in actually talking to people. She is quick, responsive, and when appropriate, sincerely empathetic. She responds and reacts with common sense and courtesy.

A couple other things I like about her are, she is a Yellow Lab person, and her new puppy is named Lucy, the same as my new puppy. She got her law degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, which is one of my favorite places in the entire world. I’d bet, she’s been to my friend Peter Monticup’s old Magic Shop, which was practically on campus.

Sadly yesterday was her end of the year show and she will be taking the next couple weeks off, but I think they will be playing some best of stuff in her absence.

I am still new to her show and rarely have the flexibility to listen to a daily 2 hour radio show, but I find it really refreshing to listen to an educated, well spoken, and charming conservative female, that is also quite funny.

Today is my Wife’s Birthday, born on this day in . . . lets see here . . . 1974, yeah that’s it, 1974.

If you see her today give her a big hug and if you aren’t going to see her, give her a call with your Birthday wish.

After spending the last 20 years of my life with her, I can you tell this, she doesn’t want much. Marcia is one of the most unselfish and giving people I’ve ever met. She is happy as long as her family is healthy and happy, the consummate Mother Lioness, always protecting and providing for her family.

To a great Mother, Wife, and Friend, Happy Birthday! I love you.
